Abstract

This article examines the cinematographic production of filmmaker Lucia Murat regarding the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil, highlighting its main aspects, as well as the issues it raises regarding the memories of resistance and the traumatic legacy of this period of Brazilian history. The article aims to demonstrate the importance of the filmmaker’ production in the face of the growing movement of conservatism and historical denial.
