Abstract

This article focuses on the documentary Kátia (Karla Holanda, 2013, 73min), a decade after it was shot. It focuses the notion of tense performance, which means dealing with a transgender character, Kátia Tapety, who presents her conflicts, as well as her politics, in a landmark queer documentary in Brazil.
