Abstract

The soundtrack of The Zone of Interest (Jonathan Glazer, 2023) uses certain strategies for diegetic sound typical of the technological moment in wich it was produced. Once elements of its synchrony with the image are out of phase, the film achieves a mode of sound representation of space through spatial grammar (spatial signature, ultrafield and point of audition), wich are not unknown to industrial cinema, but wich in this case they achieve such unsuspected achievements that they prevail in the evaluation of the industrial academy.
